PUBLIC NOTICE

In accordance with the minutes of the Selection Board Committee meeting held• on 19th November, 2025, in the office chamber of the Commissioner & Secretary, Higher & Technical Education (H&TE) Department, there will be an enhancement in the structure-of SMATEE 2026 examination. Specifically, the number of questions for each constituent subject will be • increased, as outlined below (Sl. No. 1). 

 Furthermore, we are pleased to announce the >addition of Mathematics as an optional subject alongside Biology. This expansion is designed to provide opportunities: for candidate who have opted for Mathematics in their Higher Secondary School Education (Class XI & XII) in lieu of Biology. This adjustment is consistent with the established eligibility criteria for certain · courses under SMATEE, allowing for the subject combination of Physics, Chemistry, and  Mathematics (PCM). The list of technical courses that allow admission for candidates with a• combination of Physics, Chemistry, arid Mathematics (PCM) is• included here for• the information of all eligible candidates (Sl.
